The last thing this world needs is another guilt-shoveler behind a pulpit. What people desperately need to hear is the good news. They need to be told their sins have been forgiven and it is our responsibility to tell them. Indeed, this is the privilege of proclaiming the gospel. The ministry of reconciliation is not telling people that a huffy God waits for them to sooth his offended ego with a bunch of repentance flowers and a box of confession chocolates. It is the thrill of proclaiming the glad, happy news that God loves them, his face is turned towards them, and he holds nothing against them.

We connect.

We connect.

So I was “stalking” myself…

I searched for my Tumblr’s oldest entry. I went through pages and pages of my blog. Then I saw a post and I realized that since high school I have this weird thing of knowing when I’m gonna get called by my teacher or professor. Especially when I’m the first to recite of all my classmates.

I know it when I don’t feel nervous.

Third year: Sonnet-reading activity. I really sensed that I was the first to read. And yes, I read my sonnet:

“Move not, please do not be tired of waiting

I’ll love thee, until my heart stops beating.”

Hahahaha.

First year college: It happened twice or thrice, I think? One was in Hum1 class. My prof’s student assistant was picking through papers of names. I wasn’t nervous or anxious and I knew before I was called that I was gonna recite in front of the large class.

Weird. Do you have the same “sense of knowing”?

samrococo asked: TAG! you're it. The rules are to state ten random facts about your self. Then send this to the ten nicest people on tumblr. :)

Of course. I’m reeaaaally nice. Haha. Hi Alex!

1. Mahilig ako sa matatabang pusa.

2. Pag nasa bus, gusto ko nasa gilid ako ng bintana.

3. Gusto ko ng kwek kwek.

4. 5’4” ako (yata).

5. I’ll be celebrating my birthday on August. Regalo ko?

6. I’m not really lonely when I’m alone.

7. I like fiiiiillllllms and music a loooot.

8. Gusto ko nang magpagupit.

9. I’d like to learn how to play the drums.

10. Ayoko sa lumilipad na ipis at dumidikit na palaka.

One of the many things i take delight about traveling alone is having to talk to strangers. Getting out of your comfort zone to ask for directions, perhaps a desire for a short companion. Travel, get out there. Make use of your time and your life. Learn something new. Do something you’ve never done before. Go somewhere you’ve never gone too before. Learn a new language. Take that art class. Life is too beautiful to spend it with what if’s and I will do it. Actually DO IT. Risk. Stumble. Fall. You’ll get yourself together again I promise. Don’t just merely exist, but LIVE.
